What you give when you register

• A nickname in English, and a Hebrew one if you like.
• A password. It is stored encrypted and never shown anywhere, not even to the city staff.
• An email address.
• An avatar, and if you picked them, an age range, gender, interface language and a field of interest.
• The nickname of whoever brought you to the city, if you typed it. They get a bonus for it.

Later you can add a first name, last name, home page and a few words about yourself in your profile. None of it is required.

What the city records while you are in it

• Your money (iC), experience and rank, your house, your objects and your friends list.
• When you first came into the city and when you were last here.
• What you write or upload: messages, posts on the boards and the calendar, clubs, images and objects.
• Chat: each place keeps its last 60 lines, so whoever walks in can see what people are talking about. Whispers are not kept at all.
• Server logs: the IP address, the time, the page opened and which browser asked for it. That is how faults are found and floods are stopped.

Who sees what

Other residents can see on your card your nickname, your house and address in the city, your first and last name if you filled them in, experience, rank, jobs, when you first came in and when you were last here, and your home page. They also see anything you write or place somewhere public.

Your email, password, age and gender do not appear on any page of the city.

The city staff can see your account details in the management console, except the password, so they can answer requests and handle bans. Everything the staff do there is recorded under the name of whoever did it.

Your email

The only thing sent to it is a password reset link, when you ask for one. The link works once, and only for an hour. Your email is not handed to anyone outside the city.

Cookies

When you enter the city your browser gets one sign-in cookie, and without it the city cannot tell it is you. Visitors who have not registered get one too.

The graphics quality you pick in 3D is kept in your own browser and never sent to us. There are no advertising or analytics cookies on the site, and no tools from other companies tracking what you do.

Changing or deleting

You can change most details yourself, in your profile inside the city.

Want a copy of what is kept about you, or want your account deleted? Write to support@icity.co.il from the email on the account. Deleting removes the account and its personal details from the city, and they are gone from the backups within 30 days. If you also want messages or posts you wrote removed, say so in the email.
